Sightseeing: Visit the Kamakhya Temple on Nilachal Hill, one of India's most revered Shakti Peethas.

Evening: Take a sunset river cruise on the Brahmaputra River or visit the Umananda Temple on the world's smallest river island.

Stay: Overnight in Guwahati.
